Aleksandra, who is originally from Serbia, moved to Canada at the age of 8. As her country was ravaged by war, her family was forced to find a new home. FREEDOM… posed new problems including having to learn a new language, adapting in a new culture, and being ridiculed for having an accent. LIFE WAS TOUGH and left no room for weakness.
Aleksandra is consistently upgrading her education in the area of Physiotherapy. Years of dedication include a Bachelor of Health Sciences, and a Master's of Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2014.
Continuation courses include: Acupuncture and Dry Needling, The Shoulder Complex, The Hip Complex, The Knee Complex, The Lumbar Spine, and Taping. All these accomplishments along with awards can be found in a collection on her office mantle.
Aleksandra is a hard working immigrant from a small country called Serbia. She and her family were forced to flee a comfortable life in a country they loved during times of war. Bombs blasting gunfire too close to home left them homeless and nowhere to go until eventually accepted by the amazing country of Canada. This posed new challenges including learning a new language and adapting to a new culture as an outsider. She learned to be tough and at the same time find compassion and appreciation that can be seen in her daily business practice.
Aleksandra is very professional and always uses the full amount of time available. She's very flexible with scheduling appointments and always takes the time to explain the issue being worked on." - Matthew P.
Aleksandra has made me feel as though I am the most important client whenever I'm with her or just making an appointment over the phone. She is a good communicator and engages me in conversation throughout my visit making sure I am comfortable and that her efforts are addressing the problem." - Bernie H.
I help people with:
I help decrease pain and re-gain mobility and function after an injury by providing hands-on physio treatment, exercises and education.
I restore the tension relationship between all muscle groups in the body. This restores full function, eliminates pain, and restores natural strength. I do all of this by providing a relaxing and welcoming environment for my patients, which makes them feel more comfortable with me during the treatments and helps them recover faster.
"If my touch, my presence, knowing me, or talking to me helps you feel better, then I've done my job. My work has been complete... My life is complete..."
"In the end… There's so many more people I need to care for. So I can’t stop doing what I'm doing."
Client Success Examples:
This one particular client .. was referred to me for physiotherapy treatments by his doctor. It was clear to me that this was not an average client; instead it was exciting as it required me to utilize different skills from the various levels of education I had just completed. The doctor had said to the patient to try physio first, and if it didn’t work out, that he would have to undergo intense surgery. We began therapy together that required visits several times per week. After one month we were seeing signs that we were on the right path. After two months, we saw remarkable results. And after three months, he was on his path to recovery. Along with hands on therapy, changes to his work environment, including a standing desk, and a home exercise program, he was able to recover fast and well.
